Hemingway lived in Cuba for 21 years and when he received the Nobel prize he dedicated it to the people of Cuba. While in Cuba, he was inspired to write The Old Man and the Sea and For Whom the Bell Tolls, and other works. He mainly lived at Finca Vigía, a farm located outside of Havana, and frequented many places around Havana including La Bodeguita del Medio and El Floridita.
